Great news, people! From a bulletin coming from Steve's myspace: "Hi Everyone,
Thanks to all of you,"Stripped Down" has been the #1 Top Seller all week and "Groovin' On The Inside" is back on the Top Seller list, as well! We never anticipated the overwhelming response and unfortunately/fortunately :-) "Stripped Down" sold out within 4 days! We apologize for the inconvenience. The cd is available for MP3 download through CDBABY, but for everyone who is on the CDBABY waiting list, rest assured, they will be back in stock hopefully, today.
We hope you like the album!
Cheers, Steve" This is awesome. "Stripped Down" is an amazing work and Steve surely deserves all the praise it is receiving. :D

I've updated the Gallery section with pictures from Steve's gig at the Halfmoon Putney in London on May 2nd. The pictures belong to Paola Ferrari and nyaubaby (I was way too distracted by Steve's guitar to manage as hard a task as of taking pictures, not to mention that I suck at it anyway); please do not repost them in your blog or website without their permission. Thank you so much, girls! You both are awesome!

More news on the new album, some awesome, some not so good.
Let's start from the not so good ones. As you may know (either from the previous update on this page or from other sources), Steve has his new and yet unreleased album streaming over at his official website. I think this is a very gracious thing to do, and it's very rare of an artist, any artist, to give such a full and generous preview of his upcoming work. Basically, this is what happened: (coming straight from Steve's myspace)
"Hey everyone,
Just wanted to say thank you for all the kind words and feedback about the album. It has been brought to my attention that a lot of people have ripped the music off the site and are bootlegging it. I hope that people who do that sort of thing understand that it is not only illegal, it's very uncool and it's really disappointing... especially from anyone that considers themselves a fan of an artist and their music. It's not something I'm gonna get mad about because in all honesty, people could wait till the album comes out and do the same thing but we thought it would be nice to give everyone a preview. If taking advantage of that gesture feels okay to some people, that's their cross to bear.
I don't steal from the artists that I like and I encourage everyone else not to as well. Sorry to be preachy :)
Thank you,
Steve Carlson"
I won't get into what I think of this, because a) I don't want to put myself on a soapbox and preach away at anyone; and b) this is a website, not a blog, and therefore it's not the right place for such kind of posts. I just thought I'd inform of what's been going on anyone who didn't already know.
Now on to some very awesome news:
(the source is once again Steve's myspace)
"So, as some very sneaky people have already figured out, streaming samples of the new album are up on STEVECARLSON. COMThe release date for the album is next Tuesday but we will have pre-sales in London this weekend. So, please go to the site, have a listen and don't forget to fill in your email on the front page so we can keep you keep you posted with news and updates. See you soon London Town!"
This is certainly good news for all of you who are going to one of Steve's London shows (me included, for once :D ). So if you're gonna be there, remember that you will have the chance to become the very proud possessor of a copy of "Stripped Down"!

Steve's new album, "Stripped Down", will be released on May 6th. We're almost there, folks! In the meanwhile, you can listen to the whole of it over at Steve's official website. I've been told it's really amazing, and considering the tastes of it that we've been getting over at Steve's myspace, I'm not surprised at all. Personally, I prefer to wait until I actually have the CD to listen to it, as like for a good book, I don't want spoilers. ;) But for the most impatient of you, here is the link. Enjoy!
